Installation Instructions

1.Remove the trigger group form the Mini 14/ AC556.

2.Lift the rifle out of the old stock

3.Remove the hand guard from the rifle

4.DO NOT REMOVE the GAS BLOCK!!!

5.Take off the top cover of the SCAR stock by removing the 5 allen head screws.

6.Turn the SCAR-stock upside down so that the pistol grip is pointing up and the buttstock is toward you.

7.Install the rifle into the SCAR-stock by inserting the front of the stock into the Ruger gas block and rocking the rifle receiver into full contact with the stock.  It’s easiest to view the procedure through the trigger-housing opening.  Ensure that the right side lower receiver lug (viewed with the receiver upside down) is tight against the inside right side of the stock.  Firmly squeeze the stock and receiver together.  They fit together VERY TIGHTLY!

***DO NOT ALLOW THE STOCK TO TWIST to the left.  If the stock twists to the left then the left lower receiver lug will strike the inside full auto cutout and the stock will not seat at all.  If this happens, slightly disengage the receiver from the stock and twist the stock slightly to the right.  AGAIN ensure the right side receiver lug is tight against the inside right side of the stock.  Firmly squeeze the stock and receiver together.  They are a very tight fit***

8.Insert the trigger group into the rifle and lock into place with the trigger guard.  (If installing an AC-556 into the stock, be sure your selector switch is still in the semi auto position prior to installing the trigger housing.)

9.Place the SCAR top cover in place and secure with the 5 allen head screws.

*If you are not familiar with the process of removing your weapon from its stock, refer to your owner’s manual.  Clyde Armory is not responsible for any damage to the rifle by improper installation.

**Due to the nature and design of this stock system all state laws must be consulted and adhered to before the installation of this stock on any rifle.
